STAYING TRUE TO YOURSELF AND HONORING YOUR SOUL
Each of us have our own, unique journey. The Cosmos are our horizon reminding us of who we are, and the journey we are here to experience. Our horizon is all around us surrounding our journey.
Life is less about where you are going, and more about how to be in this period of your life.
Astrology reveals the different periods in your life. You can try to have a plan for your life, but life doesn't often go according to plan. There are always unforeseen events that happen. This brings us back to the moment of the journey.
The whole “5 year” or “10 year” plan thing doesn’t work nor resonate with old souls. Old souls don’t tend to have a grand plan for their life. We have many desires and dreams, and serious ones, but we are not here to only do one thing or only live one way.
Saturn in Aries reminds us of this. Saturn in Aries is the Maverick reminding us to live life on our own terms, to pave our own way.
Astrology is a beautiful way to get to know thyself over time as things change. We are in a continuous process of self-discovery, self-unraveling, and co-creation.
Many of my clients are on a journey of self re-discovery, discovering new identities, traits, and ways of being for themselves. Some folks discover they are Autistic, HSP, gay, queer, trans, nonbinary, pansexual, neurodivergent, asexual, etc. Folks are discovering their deeper longing to write, make art, create a community, learn a new skill, start a business, move to a new location, re-define relationships, or take a different path in life.
Staying true to yourself in your 20s is different from staying true to yourself in your 40s. Later in life is when folks discover more of themselves, and one often wonders, how come I didn’t know this about myself before? why has it taken me this long?
But, I think it’s the perfect time to get to know yourself better. You’ve had more life experiences. A lot has changed. You’ve gone through multiple transitions. It doesn’t make sense to know the self prior to this time. So called “midlife” IS the time when one comes home to oneself, re-discovering who you are, your needs and soul’s desires.
And, you might be older than 50 feeling the same way. There are many iterations of discovery throughout our lives. And, especially if you’re in your late 50s-early 60s when you go through your second Saturn return, a time of metamorphosis.
The self is continuously unraveling like an onion throughout your life. There are many different layers of you that are peeled back at different times.
Past life psychic, Ainslie MacLeod says, “Who you are is why you’re here,” and this has become clear to me as an astrologer. Your birth chart reveals the different layers of you, and the life you came here to live. You change and grow into different versions of yourself throughout your life.
You contain multitudes, and you are not one thing. Nor, are you here to only do one thing or live one way. This is what I see in my clients’ birth charts time and time again, multitudes.
This is why old souls don’t have a grand plan for their lives. Yes, they have desires and dreams. But, the 5-year or 10-year plan we’re taught doesn’t fit.
Your birth chart shows you who are you, the various experiences you are here to have, and the life your soul wants to live. No one else has your exact birth chart. No one else knows you like you know you, deep down. No one else knows what kind of life you are here to live except you.
And, this is what your chart shows you. You can always come back to your chart to remind yourself of your unique self, your unique experiences, and your unique horizons.
And, of course, how your life and horizons connect with others, as your birth chart also reveals. We are interconnected. We are affected by one another. We experience life together. And we create it together.
