YOUR SATURN RETURN: A TIME OF METAMORPHOSIS AND SPIRITUAL TRANSFORMATION

Are you going through your Saturn return? When Saturn returns to the sign that it was in when you were born, this signifies your Saturn return, which usually happens in one’s late 20s-early 30s, and, again, in one’s late 50s-early 60s.

If you have Saturn in Pisces, then you’ve been going through your Saturn return since March 7, 2023, and your Saturn return will finalize February 20, 2026 when Saturn moves on into Aries. If you have Saturn in Aries, then you, recently, began your Saturn return when Saturn entered Aries on May 24, 2025. Saturn dips back into Pisces on September 1st, 2025 for one final round until February 2026, before it stays in Aries until 2028.

The Saturn return is a transitional time in your life when you are prompted to head into the next direction of your life, letting go of certain responsibilities and taking on new ones, and implementing new foundations in your life.

Saturn is serious and mature; it wants to up its standards and create new boundaries. These are times when you are maturing into the next version of yourself and your life. You’re often making significant life decisions during this time like fully committing to a relationship or ending one, moving to a new location, taking a new opportunity, embarking on a new line of study, changing your living situation, or retiring, for example. You go through a metamorphosis. You release identities that no longer fit you, and discover new ones.

You Saturn return asks you to reflect on your life thus far, and get in touch with the ways that you have grown. Does your current life reflect the inner shifts you’ve had? What are you no longer aligned with in your life? What, in your life, do you feel like letting go of?

Saturn invites you to clear out older ways of doing things that you’re no longer aligned with in order to give way to something else. Emptying out your gas tank so you can fill up again, but this time with different fuel. New fuel that will support a different direction that your soul wants to take.

Your Saturn return wants you to enter a new level in your life, which can feel like a crisis in the moment. Because this is a transitional time, you might feel a little lost, depressed, or lonely as you make changes for a new chapter in your life.

Some significations of Saturn include depression, anxiety, sluggishness, sorrows, and melancholy. You could find yourself feeling this way as your soul goes through a metamorphosis. Let yourself feel your feelings and be in this space, but also try to get as much support as you need. You’re not meant to do this alone.

You’re in a period marking a time when you’re being asked to think about where and how your life has been, and where you want your life to go from here.

Your Saturn return can indicate endings and/or new opportunities related to your career, intimate relationships, hobbies and interests, home and living situation, and spiritual pursuits. Any losses during this time are leading to solid foundations that Saturn wants to lay. It’s an opportunity to explore the next chapter of your life.

Saturn is the last planet we can see with the naked eye, and because of this, ancient astrologers saw it as representing the horizon, heaven and earth, human and soul. Saturn is a mystical planet representing the challenges of humanity and our human experiences along with our soulful ones and implementing higher standards that align with our soul’s purposes. Saturn wants to teach you deep spiritual lessons and help you connect more with the mystical, the ancient, and what your soul is here to do.

When the Saturn transit ends, you will likely feel lighter as the heaviness of Saturn is lifted. But, in the meantime, embrace this spiritually transformative time.
