Hi, I’M Cameron Airen.
I’m a professional astrologer. I have my certificate from The Hellenistic Astrology Course.
Astrology is something I’ve always been interested in. Newspaper horoscopes interested me from a young age. Once I knew my sun sign (Capricorn), I would go around asking all my friends, “what’s your sign?”. One time, I almost got in trouble, as a friend’s parent thought I was talking about the “devil” when I mentioned “horoscope” (little did they know that Capricorn is the devil card in tarot 😉). I realized, then, that astrology was taboo to some people, but it didn’t deter me. I’ve always been drawn to the taboos.
Just like feminism, I never shied away from astrology even though some gave it negative connotations. When I was 22 years old, I received my first natal birth chart reading from a professional astrologer and was blown away by how accurately it described me and my experience.
Ever since, I’ve chatted about astrology with friends for fun until I decided to go deeper, discovered Hellenistic Astrology and began studying its ancient roots.
I have a M.A. in Anthropology & Social Change from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and a B.A. in Women & Gender Studies from Eckerd College. I’ve been self-employed since my early twenties with various solo/small businesses as the co-founder of the Feminist Coach Academy, a life coach, feminist consultant, and personal trainer/running coach.
My pronouns are they/them, but sometimes they/she 🤷🏻♀️
I live in California, and am a passionate, knowledgeable SF Giants and baseball fan. I’m also a lover of coffee, tarot, ancient history and chatting about past lives.
My Approach
I use a lot of ancient astrology techniques and perspectives when looking at a chart combined with modern interpretations since our lives are very different from the ancients. I use whole sign houses, ancient planetary-sign rulership, zodiacal releasing, annual profections, the progressed lunation cycle, and other powerful techniques I’ve learned.
If you’re a total newbie to astrology and don’t understand what any of the above jargon means, then no need to worry :)
I try to adopt and embody a lens that is non-binary, anti-racist, anti-ableist, trauma-sensitive, decolonial, and body liberatory. I’m an advocate for queer, intersectional feminism and dismantling all systems of oppression. I’m continuously learning and unlearning.
Most of my clients have anti-oppressive values too and are curious about how they can use their unique gifts to further social justice.
My intention is also to take a more encouraging approach. The last thing I want is for you to leave the reading feeling fearful or anxious. I do like to be “real” about what the cosmos reveal, but that reality can show up in a lot of different ways, and the future is always unwritten.
If challenging things have been going on and you want to talk about it, we absolutely can. It can be quite helpful to talk about the challenges that have already happened under the gaze of astrology to help you process it.
Generally speaking, I’m happy to acknowledge anything challenging that you want to talk about, and focus on what is encouraging and supportive for you now as well as what you can look forward to in the future.
