ELECTIONAL ASTROLOGY: FINDING THE BEST DAY/TIME TO DO SOMETHING FOR THE BEST OUTCOME

Electional Astrology is an ancient technique used to find the most favorable time for an event or to start something new like host a wedding, take a trip, start a new business, move to a new location, start a new adventure, have a baby, apply for a grant or loan, sign a contract, or get surgery in order to have the best outcome.

Astrology is like the weather giving us insights into the flavor and energy of each day, week, month, year, decade.

Will there be more precipitation or will it be mostly sunny? When you’re looking to travel or plan a wedding, you’re often looking to do it when there’s good weather, dry and sunny, and not too hot or too cold. You’re looking for a time that will support your endeavors.

With astrology, it’s the same way. We’re looking for a day or time period when there’s not as much turbulence, when the planets are indicating more support and ease, rather than hardship and chaos.

Of course, like the actual weather, nothing is a guarantee. Sometimes, it rains when you didn’t think it would, or the wind is intense, or the sun burns you. When we’re looking at the astrology to find the best time to do something, we’re looking for the best we can get, but there is almost never a perfect day.

There is always something that isn’t favorable. This is life. There is always a chance of something going haywire or raining on your parade.

But, even so, there are still days that harbor better weather, astrologically, than others, and why not maximize your chances by looking at what’s more favorable than unfavorable?

After all, if you knew there was a good chance of rain on the day you were looking at going to a water park, you probably wouldn’t go, or the water park might cancel anyway.

So, while, there is never a guarantee, we look to maximize our chances of finding the best day or time to do something. And, we look to the planets to tell us when that best time is. This is Electional Astrology.

You might have a small window of time when you need to do something, and are looking for the best day during that window of time.

You might be wanting to start something new within the next several months, and are looking for the best day to do that.

You might be thinking about taking a trip or two this year, and are wondering when the most favorable days/weeks are to do so.

To find the most favorable day for the best outcome, we’re looking at:

• The Moon - as the Moon is represents the body of the event

• The Rising sign and Ascendant, and the ruler of the Rising sign of the exact time of the event if there is an exact time

• If the two most positive planets, Jupiter and Venus, are in favorable condition, and whether they make any aspects to the Moon, Rising sign/Asc, or ruler of the Rising sign, etc.

• Where Mars and Saturn, the two most challenging planets, are, and what their relationship to the above planets and sensitive points are if they make any aspects to them.

• And, there are other things, we astrologers, are looking at like the nodes and outer planets, whether Mercury, Mars, or Venus are retrograde, if it’s eclipse season, etc.
