Dear Moon Gazer,

Chances are you’re motivated by meaning, not money, capital, or running the rat race. You’re interested in living a fulfilling, meaningful, and purposeful life.

You have multiple passions, and perhaps have a hard time figuring out which passion to follow at any given time. You’re creative (even if you don’t think of yourself that way), and you want to live life on your terms, not by society’s standards.

You also care about humans and social injustices (if you don’t, then I’m probably not the right astrologer for you), and you’re highly interested in making the world a more supportive, egalitarian place.

We don’t even need to look at your astrological birth chart to know this, although I’m confident that your birth chart reveals these desires of yours that are absolutely part of what your soul came here to experience.

While your entire birth chart reveals the many, different, unique experiences your soul came here to have, in this post, we’ll focus on your “Big 3,” as we, astrologers call it. Your “Big 3” include your Rising Sign, Sun Sign, and Moon Sign.

Do you know what these signs are in your birth chart? If you don’t, then go HERE and follow the instructions in my post, then come back :)

Your Rising Sign

Your Rising Sign is the most personal part of you.

Your rising sign is the sign that was rising on the horizon when you were born.

Ancient astrologers believed that the soul entered the body at the moment of birth, so whatever sign was rising is the one most personal to you. The rising sign changes signs more frequently than the planets, which is why you need to know your exact birth time in order to know it.

Pop modern astrology has taught us that our Sun Sign encompasses who we are, but it’s only one slice of the pie that makes up who you are and your life.

Your Rising sign is the most personal part of you. Ancient astrologers saw your Rising sign as describing your personality, self, identity, body, and spirit.

Your Rising sign makes up the 1st house in your birth chart, and the 1st house is the only house that encompasses ALL of you, while all of the other houses in your chart reveal other people, events, and experiences in your life.

Ancient astrologers saw your Rising sign as describing who you are, and the direction of your life. Understanding your Rising sign helps you better understand yourself, and the life that’s important to you.

If you haven’t resonated much with your Sun sign, perhaps you resonate with your Rising sign more? On the contrary, if you feel like you’ve resonated more with your Sun sign than your Rising sign, I encourage you to dig deeper into your Rising sign, and peel back the various layers it has to offer.

Think about what traits of your Rising sign might describe you, your demeanor, and/or how you operate.

How do the qualities of your Rising Sign contribute to what’s important to you, how you show up, and your gifts and talents?

Look beyond the stereotypes, beneath the surface, and explore that sign more. Think, how does this describe me?

As past life psychic, Ainslie Macleoud says, “Who you are is why you’re here.” Understanding your Rising Sign helps you better understand yourself, which is why you’re here. The qualities and traits that makeup who you are indicate what your soul wants to experience and how you’re here to contribute.

Your Moon Sign

Your Moon sign is more personal than your Sun sign because the Moon changes signs every 2-3 days. The Sun changes signs roughly every 30 days. Astrologer, Chris Brennan says,

“The Moon is the closest celestial body in our solar system to us, which makes it also a little bit more personal or a little bit more important in terms of things happening on Earth. And I think that’s one of the reasons why traditional astrologers tended to emphasize the Moon in charts in every branch of astrology…”

We’ve paid more attention to the Sun because it’s easier to discover one’s Sun sign, but that doesn’t mean that the Sun is more important. The Moon is essential, and so is the Moon in your birth chart.

The Moon represents your body, home, your needs, and what kinds of nurturing and nourishment you need in order to thrive.

Your Moon sign reveals what and where you feel nurtured. It tells you what you need to feel okay, safe, well, thrive, inspired, motivated, and nourished. Beyond your basic needs of food, water, shelter, clothing and safety, there are other things you need in order to fully show up and feel like your whole self.

For example, if your Moon is in Libra, then being in beautiful environments (whatever beauty looks like to you) is incredibly important for your whole well being. It’s a need, not simply a desire.

Where and how you need to be nurtured is part of your “purpose.” Your “purpose” doesn’t just involve your career or what you do for work. It also involves your relationships, where or how you live, and your hobbies as well.

The Moon is home and the environment. Where and how you live is part of what your soul came here to experience. For example, if you have a strong desire for a particular kind of home or living situation and it’s something you think about often, then this is part of your soul’s desire.

Old souls tend to be homebodies or transient in some way, shape, or form. It’s common for old souls to be digital nomads, go back and forth between locations, housesit regularly, travel frequently, move around a lot, or simply feel unsettled in any one place.

Your Moon sign could also point to you being an advocate for folks to have access to stable and affordable housing, or trying to create more sustainable environments as the Moon represents both of these things.

The Moon in your birth chart communicates information about your body, your home, your environment, your intuition, how you need to be nourished, how you tend to nourish others, and what you need to thrive. The Moon in your birth chart also reveals any challenges or obstacles for you getting your needs met as well.

Think about your Moon sign. How does it describe certain aspects of your life and what you need? What does it reveal about how you need to be nourished and how you can bring nourishment to others?

Your Sun Sign

Past life psychic, Ainslie Macleod says, “Your destiny is not a secret.”

Who you are, what you’re passionate about, and what feels the most meaningful to you are all signs of the kind of life your soul came here to live.

Your Rising Sign shows you who you are. Your Moon sign shows you what you need you feel nourished and nurtured. Your Sun sign shows you how and where you shine.

The Sun’s role is to shine and be in the spotlight. Your Sun Sign tells you more about how you shine and the house it’s in reveals to you where you shine.

Where and how you shine is part of your soul’s desires. Your soul has multiple desires and passions.

What qualities of your Sun sign describe how you shine? If you know the house your Sun is in, what themes of that house describe how and where you shine in your life?

As an old soul, you are here to do a variety of things in our life. You are here to live a colorful, interesting life.

You need to live life on your terms, and are interested in using your gifts to contribute to making the world a better place. Your Rising, Moon and Sun signs are your north stars pointing you to how you are here to do that, and what you need in order to do that.

Your birth chart affirms what your soul came here to do. It zeros in on the life your soul intended to help you live more of it.

And, there is NOT one particular path, but different paths at different time periods in your life. Embrace YOUR unique path, and what your unique birth chart reveals about what all you came into this life to do.

In cosmic support,
✨ Cam
